2018

cycling on the Golden Gate bridge with the sunset as our backdrop. gambling, and winning, duh. letting loose, seeing visions. canyons, fuck. knee-deep snow. warm showers. skiing. carrying ice-cream while being out and about with no fear of it melting—basically, freezer weather. getting groceries in a snowstorm. dragging our luggages in thick snow. watching people. walking on frozen lakes. watching J fall on his ass, strangers looking concerned, then laughing all together.

paying a dollar for "pay as you wish" admissions (i.e. the MET :-)) because #webroke. visiting SO many museums in the East Coast till we felt sick. secret-ish stand up comedy shows. being late risers without the guilt. questioning one's existence when queues are awfully wrong. getting free food after complaining food isn't up to standard #cheapthrills #forealtho

finding cheap and good steak in the supermarket. grocery shopping dates. cooking. cleaning isn't that bad, actually. watching J drive on the freeway like a badass. singing our hearts out to old school songs in the car. kombucha—'nuff said. ice-skating in the open/cold with a badass view and a legit DJ, god damn. experiencing broadway, as well as my first ever immersive play experience #sleepnomore. also, my first ever experience in an adult cinema, cinema l'Amour. dino fossils, fuck.  #cheapthrills when there's no need to tip #webroke. finding comfort in the littlest things, really. glad to be travelling with a limited amount of money. the irony that more money limits the fun. exploring solely on foot.

dancing to Hozier. making so much noise that our neighbours left us a note to keep it down past 11pm (live a little, man!). long bus rides staring out into scenery unlike my Home's. reading. books, oh, secondhand bookstores. trying to pet little birds.

I think the list is non-exhaustive. I would like to relive some of these feelings again – some might be possible only in certain spaces, environments; but, at the risk of sounding narcissistic, most would not even have happened without me (you go girl!), and the people I actively choose to surround myself with (thank you, wonderful human beings).
Time for the next adventure.

well,
may you never lose your sense of wonder
